"LOST" Open Forum

Season 3, Episode 1
This post is specifically to discuss LOST.
This has been posted after the first show, and I'll make newer posts after a few episodes if this starts to get too long.
Have at it.

Though I can see why some would be annoyed with its lack of stimulating content, I liked the first episode. It felt very "connected" to the previous season; it was as if it just picked up where we left off, not giving in to the need to "wow" us with season-premier-intensity. As usual, they will slowly string us along, carefully giving us all the answers we want and then smacking us in the face with suprises. And thats what I love about it anyway. Here's to season three.

amen, sister. I think that comparitively, the was a lot of shock in that episode. Last season, anythine a new hatch was discovered, it was a huge deal. We basically saw 2 hatches and where the others live, and learned about the actually size of the island.
I also like how drastic our perspective changes. Thing we wonder about are being answered while other mysteries are being presented. awesome.

This morning on a radio show, I briefly heard someone making fun of Sawyer, but I didn't hear the whole thing so I don't know if I'm just rewording what someone said.

    Anyway:
What's the deal with Sawyer and Jack's facial hair? Where does it go? They've been locked up for a few days. Hmm?!

Oh, and I'm sure they don't want to turn it into a gunfighting show, but I'm getting a little sick of all these gun-toting fools running around idly threatening. Sawyer with the gun. Sayid and Jin. Nothing ever HAPPENS. And Sawyer says, "She would've shot you." Oh yeah? In the arm? Ouch. I mean I know the bullet would have gone through the arm, but still, if the lady was as serious as Sawyer thought, why wouldn't she have the gun up to Kate's head or something?

I got the impression that Sawyer was saying that most of these people have never seen any real action and even though they have guns, they arent much of a threat. i think (correct me if i am wrong) he was contrasting them with the chick that held the gun to kate, saying that she actually knew what she was doing. as for the arm...i dont know, unless she didnt want to actually kill her, just hurt her because the "others" need her.

and as far as we know, theyve really only been locked up for a couple days...that doesn't necessarily lead to a whole lot of facial hair.

those are my thoughts, not yours. Im dave hunter for 89x news.

Doesn't necessarily mean facial hair, yes, but I think we can all admit Sawyer is pretty darn manly/scruffy.

As far as the comparison between the men and that chick, good point. She was the only one who thought quick enough to actually do something, and that was the important part. Plus Kate's way wimpier than she tries to be, and I'm sure a shot to the arm would put her out of commission for a while.

Are you really dave hunter? or is this someone I know? If you are dave hunter, do you know the rest of us talking here are from Detroit? The 586 to be specific.

Yeah. The polar bear gave me nightmares. A child ripped out a page from Berenstain Bears "Learn About Strangers," and believe me, it was a stranger. He had ripped up overalls on and a crooked smile. And the child kept smacking me with the paper. Terrifying.
